Tooth Extraction.

Sometimes a tooth may be too heavily broken down or infected to save, in this instance, when a tooth is deemed un-restorable, we can safely and comfortably remove your tooth.

There are a number of other reasons why a tooth can require extraction; as part of an orthodontic treatment plan where there is significant overcrowding, severe periodontal disease, problematic wisdom teeth, or if deciduous (baby) teeth are impeding the eruption of their permanent (adult) successors.

We appreciate that nobody looks forward to having a tooth removed, and the prospect can be rather daunting. However at Bingham Dental we will endeavour to make the process as comfortable as possible, firstly ensuring to delicately administer appropriate local anaesthesia to the area, and once confirmed, gently loosening the tooth in order for it to be carefully removed.

Teeth requiring extraction have often seen better days, and so there is a chance they may need to be removed in several fragments, our expertise means that we can carefully do so to ensure the problem is dealt with effectively.

Our clinicians will ensure to clearly go through all the information you’ll need prior to making the decision to having a tooth removed, and following the extraction, advice on aftercare will be both given verbally and as written instructions. We’ll also check in on you the following day by telephone to make sure everything is OK.

Tooth replacement options exist when a tooth has been extracted, whether it be an implant, bridge, or denture, our clinicians will be able to provide information on the most suitable solutions to address your individual needs.
