Using advanced technology and expertise, we can help to save your compromised tooth, restoring both function and aesthetics.
Endodontic treatment, commonly known as ‘Root Canal Treatment’ addresses issues within the tooth's pulp – the soft tissue that forms the centre of a tooth, made up of nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue. The pulp is vital during the tooth’s development, providing essential nutrition and support, whilst continuing to nourish throughout life. When the pulp becomes inflamed or infected, typically due to deep decay, repeated dental work, injury, or cracks, root canal treatment becomes necessary.
Left untreated, this inflammation or infection can cause pain or result in an abscess and so prompt treatment helps to maintain function and aesthetics and helps to ensure a healthy and comfortable mouth.
Root canal treatments should be a comfortable procedure, we’ll ensure you’re sufficiently numb before proceeding and the procedure itself will feel similar to having a filling, it’ll just take a bit longer. Usually treatments are completed in a single stage, but depending on a host of factors and complexity there may sometimes be a need for several visits.
